Back in the summer of 1986, the first Gunther Toody’s Diner opened its doors in Colorado Springs, sparking a revival of the 1950s right in the heart of Colorado. With its vibrant 100-seat diner, Gunther Toody’s brought the sights, sounds, and feel of the fabulous '50s to life. From the moment we served our first plate of breakfast or burgers, Gunther Toody’s quickly became an American classic. Folks lined up around the block, eager to dig into our delicious, home-cooked grub.

After the overwhelming success of our first location, we expanded to Denver in 1989. It wasn't long before our fresh, home-cooked food, sassy and energetic service, and fun '50s atmosphere garnered a huge following. Today, with five locations spread across Denver and Colorado Springs, Gunther Toody’s is the quintessential American diner experience.
